Find a page by what it said

When you save a link, Readsira fetches the page and stores its text. Search looks through the article text as well as titles and tags, so “that post about battery degradation” finds the page even if the word was never in its title.

Organise with collections and tags, add a note to say why you kept something, and give each save a reason (read, reference, project, try, buy) so the Inbox can sort itself. Reminders bring a page back on the day you choose.

Raindrop.io is a popular bookmark manager. Its free plan includes unlimited bookmarks, collections, and highlights, and apps for every platform. Its Pro subscription adds full-text search, permanent copies of pages, a duplicate and broken link finder, reminders, and an AI assistant.

The main difference for bookmarks: in Readsira, full-text search is part of the free plan, and an RSS reader with up to 500 feeds comes with it. Raindrop.io has a longer list of integrations and native apps. Both export your data.

Moving your bookmarks

Readsira imports Raindrop.io’s CSV export (with highlights) or its HTML export; folders become collections, nested the same way. It also imports bookmark files from Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and exports from Pocket, Instapaper, Omnivore, and Readwise. Duplicates are merged, and an import can be undone for 7 days.
